Icon Offshore inks two-year deals for two AHTS vessels

Icon Offshore Berhad has received two letters of award from an oil major for the provision of two anchor handling tug/supply vessels (AHTS).

Icon did not name the client, but it did say the long term contracts will be effective from July 5, 2015 and will continue for a period of two years from the effective date with an option for an extension of one year.

Under the long term contracts, Icon is required to provide amongst others, transportation of supplies from supply bases to drilling rigs/platforms and vice-versa to the oil major.

According to Icon’s Bursa Malaysia filing, the total value of the long term contracts is approximately RM 55 million ($14.4 million) inclusive extension period.
