Iran to boost offshore oil output

Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) plans to increase its oil output in the Persian Gulf next year.

The company revealed its plans to boost oil output starting with 30,000 barrels per day (bpd) and reaching up to 60,000 bpd.

Development activities are underway in fields like Salman and Foruza while Doroud and Abuzar fields have shown capacity for the production increase, Managing Director of IOOC, Hamid Bovard, told the Iranian news agency, Shana.

Bovard also added the company is undertaking necessary activities to maintain the production level highlighting the importance of reconstructing of aging facilities.
