Kogas July LNG sales drop

Kogas of South Korea, the world’s largest corporate buyer of liquefied natural gas, said its LNG sales volume totaled 2.37 million tons in July, down 7.7 percent compared to the same month in 2013.

The company revealed in a report that its gas sales into the power sector were at 1.38 million tons, a drop of 12.1 percent on year, while its city gas sales were down 0.8 percent on year to 992,000 mt.

Kogas aims to cut 10.5 trillion won in debt by 2017 through asset sales and the reorganization of its business operations.
