Kongsberg Hydroid Gets US Navy Contract Extension

Kongsberg Hydroid has secured US Navy indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract extension worth USD 52.3 million for the MK 18 family of unmanned underwater vehicle systems.

This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of the contract to USD 100 million, from previously USD 48 million.

Work will be performed in Pocasset, Massachusetts, and is expected to be completed by April 2024.

This contract is awarded on a sole-source basis in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation.

The MK 18 program supports unmanned underwater vehicle systems.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division, Indian Head, Maryland, is the contracting activity.
