MPX to plug Aragon well

MPX North Sea limited has informed that well operations drilling and open hole logging operations have been completed on the Aragon exploration well 9/14a-15A in Licence P1763, offshore UK.

Although the Upper Jurassic sands were encountered on prognosis, they were water bearing at this location. The well will now be plugged and abandoned.

The partners in the P1763 Licence are MPX North Sea Limited, Operator (20%); Agora Oil & Gas (UK) Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of Cairn Energy PLC) 32.5%; JX Nippon Exploration and Production (U.K.) Limited 25%; Bridge Energy (CNS) Limited 13.5%; and Dyas Exploration UK Limited 9%.
