Murphy Oil extends AHTS charter in Malaysia

Murphy Oil has extended a charter contract for an Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessel in Malaysia.

The vessel is owned by Perdana Nautika, a subsidiary of Malaysia’s Perdana Petroleum. The AHTSV contract will run from June 27, 2014 until June 26, 2015. Murphy will use the vessel in support of its shallow water drilling program in Malaysian territorial waters.

This one year contract extension is valued around $9.3 million.
