New CEO for Port of Den Helder

Dutch Port of Den Helder has appointed Jacoba Bolderheij as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective April 2016.

For the past five years, Jacoba Bolderheij worked as commercial manager with a deep sea port in the Middle East: SOHAR Port & Freezone in Oman, a joint venture of the Oman administration and Port of Rotterdam.

Commenting on its new position at Port of Den Helder, a home base for a growing number of offshore-related businesses, Bolderheij said: “I look forward to working for Port of Den Helder. Now is the time to effectively align with all stakeholders and capitalize the port’s growth potential.”

Port’s Chairman Bert Klerk: “The Board of Directors is thrilled to have found someone who is not only most suitable for this challenging job, but also extremely motivated to fortify the Port. We feel confident that she, together with the industry, the Royal Netherlands Navy and Den Helder Airport, will pursue and demarcate the future course of the Port, based on the building stones that were recently laid out.”

Chairman Edwin Stolk of the North Sea Port and Offshore Association (HSV) said: “We are more than happy with this new appointment and we are hoping to continue the effective and constructive partnership we have with Port of Den Helder”.
