Norsk Solar CFO to take over the same role at Eidesvik

Norsk Solar CFO to start work in same role at Eidesvik

Norway-based offshore vessel operator Eidesvik Offshore has appointed a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), who is expected to join the company later this year.

Eidesvik Offshore

After Eidesvik Offshore informed in April 2022 that its EVP & CFO, Tore Byberg, had tendered his resignation and accepted a CFO position at Waterise, the company started the process of identifying a successor.

Byberg will step down as CFO on 31 July 2022 and Eidesvik explains that its Finance Manager, Lars Tufteland Engelsen, will assume the role of interim CFO from 1 August 2022.

In an update on Wednesday, Eidesvik also revealed that it had appointed Helga Cotgrove as the firm’s new CFO. Cotgrove will join the company on 1 October 2022 at the latest.

Commenting on the appointment, Gitte Gard Talmo, President & CEO of Eidesvik, remarked: “Helga’s extensive financial experience makes her a great addition to Eidesvik’s top management team. I am very pleased to welcome her to Eidesvik, where she will play a key role in the further development of the company”.

The Norwegian offshore vessel operator says that Cotgrove, who comes from the position of CFO in Norsk Solar, has more than 20 years of energy sector finance experience in various roles within M&A, strategy, tax, finance, accounting, and auditing.

Prior to starting at Norsk Solar, Cotgrove held a position as director of corporate development for Halliburton in Houston, where she was responsible for global M&A transactions.

When it comes to Eidesvik’s other most recent appointments, it is worth noting that the Norwegian player decided to fill the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) roles in late April 2022 by promoting internally to pursue further growth.
