ConocoPhillips Contracts MV Island Commander for Another Year

Island Offshore, a Norway-based owner of offshore support vessels, has announced that ConocoPhillips has declared a one year option on the MV Island Commander.

The well stimulation vessel, built in 2009, has worked for ConocoPhillips at the Greater Ekofisk Area in the North Sea ever since. The vessel is equipped with a Schlumberger stimulation spread.

“The vessel is now firm until June 14, with further outstanding options. We thank ConocoPhillips for this extension and look forward to continue the good cooperation,” said Island Offshore in a statement.

Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
