The inspection, which was conducted on March 10, 2019, noted that NCL failed to follow up with ill crew members with acute gastroenteritis (AGE) on the Norwegian Breakaway.

Other violations included flies and fruit flies in several of the grills and bars, a pot wash area heavily soiled with food debris and several galleys were dirty.

Norwegian Breakaway therefore scored a failed sanitation score with 84 points.
Since its maiden cruise voyage six years ago, the ship has achieved an average score of the low 90’s.

Norwegian Breakaway has not yet submitted a corrective action report in response to the failed score.
