Ocean General rig drills ahead at Silver Sillago well (Vietnam)

Pan Pacific Petroleum has been advised by Premier Oil Vietnam South, the Operator of the Block 07/03 , that at 0600 hours on the 19th February 07/03-CD-1X, the Silver Sillago exploration well being drilled by “Ocean General” drilling rig was at a measured depth of 1991 m BRT (below rotary table).

The well has set the 13 3/8 inch casing and is drilling ahead, and is expected to enter the objective section shortly. The well has a planned total measured depth of approximately 3,817m BRT.

The well will evaluate the hydrocarbon potential of the Silver Sillago prospect; a tilted fault trap targeting Miocene clastic reservoirs similar to those encountered in the
successful Cá Rồng Đỏ (CRD) structure located about 55km to the east in Block 07/03.  The well will be plugged and abandoned after the evaluation has been completed.
