OEEC: An even stronger international focus

The marine energy industry has a role to play in the EU electricity supply by 2050. This requires advancement in the certification and verification of technologies in order to access commercial funding.

The Marine Energy Event, organized in cooperation with the Dutch Energy from Water Association (EWA) and Dutch Marine Energy Centre (DMEC), presents the latest developments in international marine energy projects, environmental monitoring, testing infrastructure, offshore safety and construction, and the evolving trends and export markets of this sector.

The 2017 edition will focus on the conditions for commercial success. “This year’s Marine Energy Event will have an even stronger international focus than previous years . Experts from France, UK, Netherlands, Sweden and Mexico will share the latest on R&D, open water testing, certification and financing of tidal, wave and OTEC projects worldwide. An event not to be missed!”, says Peter Scheijgrond, chairman of Marine Energy event and board member of the Dutch Energy from Water Association.

Marine Energy Event is held as part of Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference (OEEC) which is an annual event focused on the complete offshore energy industry, from oil & gas to offshore wind and marine energy. The two-day event, to be held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands on (9), 10 & 11 October includes an exhibition where an expected 650+ companies will showcase their products and services. Next to that, there is an accompanying conference that covers key topics and solutions for the offshore community.
