OGN Group: Energy Minister pays a visit

OGN Group, the offshore engineering, procurement and construction specialist, welcomed Energy Minister Matthew Hancock MP to its facility in North East England.

Hancock was given a tour of the 32 hectare site, which is located in Wallsend on the banks of the River Tyne, and saw first-hand the technical skills and experience OGN Group brings to the UK and international oil & gas industry.

OGN is currently undertaking a number of projects for oil & gas sector customers including a process module for the North Sea and a major export project for the Nyhamna onshore gas plant in Norway.

Dennis Clark, Chairman of OGN Group, said: “It was a pleasure to be able to welcome the Energy Minister to our Hadrian Yard facility. It was an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the depth and breadth of the skills and capabilities that exist, not only at OGN Group, but throughout our supply chain, much of which is based in the North East.

“This region has an essential role to play in the evolution of the oil & gas industry through a strong and effective collection of innovative and collaborative companies. Mr Hancock took positive messages back to Westminster that the oil & gas supply chain is keen to be part of the debate and development of the sector and this region will be integral to the success of the industry in years to come.”
