OOS International names deputy chairman for Asia-Pacific business

Dutch provider of offshore accommodation and heavy lift solutions, Holding OOS International Group B.V., has named Ng Pock Too as the deputy chairman of its subsidiary company, OOS Asia-Pacific Private Limited.

OOS International said that the change is effective from July 28, 2016. He will also serve as a supervisory board member of OOS International.

OOS is headquartered in Netherlands and has offices in Brazil, Singapore, and Mexico. OOS provides offshore heavy lift and accommodation solutions, project and ship management, asset management, engineering and maintenance, and operations assistance.

The company owns two semi-submersible crane vessels (SSCV), the OOS Prometheus and OOS Gretha, with another two SSCVs to be built by China Merchant Heavy Industries. Delivery of two newbuild SSCVs is set for 2019 and 2020.

The company also stated that Ng’s duties entail establishing OOS brand name in the Asia-Pacific region, primarily in the area of business development, partnerships, securing new revenues and strategic funding to enable OOS’s business strategy.

Ng has worked in the public sector during which time he served as a Political Secretary to Singapore’s late founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew and as a Member of Parliament, among other positions.
