Petra Energy to provide services for Petronas offshore Sabah

Malaysia’s Petra Resources, a subsidiary of services provider Petra Energy, has been awarded a contract for maintenance, construction, and modification (MCM) services by Petronas Carigali.

Petra said on Tuesday that, under the terms of the contract, it would provide contract management, project execution, procurement, and marine spread to undertake maintenance activities for Petronas Carigali’s facilities offshore Sabah.

The duration of the contract will be for an initial period of five years, with a one-year extension option, effective from September 20, 2017, and will expire on September 19, 2022.

The company stated that there was no firm contract value in the letter of award as the contract is on a “call-out” basis. The value of the deal is based on the work orders issued by Petronas and would include any or all other work and services which are generally related to the scope of works in the deal at a fixed schedule of rates.
