Heerema Marine Contractors has informed through its social media page that the Clair Ridge QUID module has been lifted onto Dockwise’s Black Marlin vessel.

Topside modules for the Clair Ridge development are being built in HHI fabrication facility in Ulsan, Korea. According to Heerema, the vessel is now ready to sail to the Clair field located on the UK Continental Shelf. The field is operated by BP.

The Clair Ridge QUID module will be installed by the Thialf this summer. The Thialf is Heerema’s largest deepwater construction vessel (DCV) capable of a tandem lift of 14,200 t.

Clair Ridge is the second phase of development of the Clair field which is located 75 km west of the Shetland Islands in 150 m of water and extends over an area of 220 km².
