TechnipFMC’s new diving support vessel (DSV) Deep Explorer is preparing for its first project, the company informed through social media.

It hasn’t been yet confirmed which project the DSV, purpose-designed for subsea projects in the North Sea and Canada markets, will be engaged in.

TechnipFMC added the DSV Deep Explorer to its fleet in November 2016.

The vessel was built by Vard Tulcea shipyard in Romania with final equipment outfitting and commissioning at Vard Langsten in Norway.

The 156.7-meter vessel features a 24-man twin bell saturated dive system rated to 350 meters, 400 Te box boom crane, working moonpool and work-class ROV.
