Port of Frederikshavn gets EU funds for expansion

Denmark’s Port of Frederikshavn said it has secured about 3 million euros from the EU to fund its forthcoming expansion.

Among other things, the EU funding has been granted for a project concerning LNG production, Port of Frederikshavn said in a statement on Tuesday.

In this process, Port of Frederikshavn collaborated with NTU International, an Aalborg-based Danish consultancy company.

This has already generated positive results as on 29 June, Port of Frederikshavn’s project ”Nordic Maritime Hub – Linking Northern Denmark to Core Network Corridors and Motorways of the Sea” was recommended for funding under the annual TEN-T work programme, the statement added.
