PSA audits Maersk Drilling’s jack-up Maersk Guardian

Between 5 and 14 March 2014, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway carried out an audit of Maersk Drilling in respect of preparedness and maintenance management.

PSA audits Maersk Drilling's jack-up Maersk GuardianThe objective of the audit was to monitor that Maersk Drilling, at all levels of the organisation, is working systematically on the prevention of major accidents in accordance with the regulations.

Non-conformities were identified in connection with:

– Barriers and performance requirements,

– Barriers for emergency preparedness,

– Fire stations,

– Training and drills,

– Cabin doors.

In addition, improvement points were identified in connection with:

– Evacuation routes,

– Maintenance management,

– Surface maintenance.
