Qatar: Hertel Receives Pride in Production Award from Shell
Hertel’s commitment to customer service has been recognised in Qatar with a ‘Pride in Production’ recognition award from Shell.
At the Pearl GTL plant, Hertel teams worked around-the-clock for eight days to help bring a Liquid Processing Unit (LPU) back on-line, receiving the award for their contribution to the safe completion of the LRU hot oil heat-exchanger reconditioning activities.
Kees Compier, QSGTL LPU Area Maintenance Manager said “This performance by Hertel was the result of cooperation, teamwork and dedication, which clearly benefits all of us.”
“It’s another example of delivering outstanding results together by caring for each other, being connected and valued” adds Jason Pearce, Hertel’s Site Manager.
Strength in Partnership in action
The award was followed by another example of the team thinking and working with the customer.
With six scaffolds required to carry out critical activity on-site, only three were able to be delivered.
As the maintenance contractor, Hertel were asked to provide the remaining three.
Within 24 hours of the initial request, the Hertel team had the permits in place and the material on-site. This swift response enabled works to be completed on time.
