The duration of the contract is six months, including options to extend by another 6+6 months.

Mobilization has started and the commencement of the contract is expected in the second half of June.

“The Company’s backlog currently shows a combined 33 months of OBN source work including options. Further, we see several opportunities in 2D and are exploring alternative ways of employing the Company’s considerable track record and streamer capacity here,” said Ståle Rodahl, Executive Chairman of SeaBird Exploration.

Eagle Explorer, which can operate as either a 3D, 2D, or source vessel, joined SeaBird’s fleet in 2018. The 2009-built vessel features 6600 kW diesel-electric propulsion, four Wärtsilä 9L26 3060KW engines and one Wärtsilä 6L26 1950kW @1000 Rpm engine.
