Rosneft files suit against Sakhalin Energy

Rosneft filed a lawsuit against Sakhalin Energy, whose major shareholder is Gazprom, demanding access to Sakhalin-2 gas pipeline. 

According to the court registry, the lawsuit was registered on July 7 and the claim was filed against Sakhalin Energy Investment Company, RIA news reports.

In an attempt to cut the costs, Rosneft requested access to the Sakhalin-2 gas pipeline as it is developing its own LNG terminal with Exxon, but was denied access.

The company is looking to find a solution together with the authorities and Gazprom.
