ROVOP bags $4.5 M in four contracts

Aberdeen-based ROV services provider ROVOP has announced £3 million ($4.5 M) worth of new contracts in the last month across the oil and gas, offshore wind and power transmission sectors.

The four contracts will see ROVOP operating in multiple geographic locations in the North Sea, Mediterranean and West Africa and will include survey, plough support, unexploded ordnance (UXO) survey, cable repair and construction.

The company said it would mobilise four FMC Technologies Schilling Heavy Duty (HD) vehicles, as well as SAAB’s Seaeye makes.

Euan Tait, ROVOP commercial director, said: “As a result of this upcoming work, we anticipate increasing our offshore workforce by approximately 10 percent, much of which will be focused on our Houston operation. This follows the successful establishment of our office there earlier this year and the completion of several workscopes in the US Gulf of Mexico, Central and South America over the past two years.”
