SHI on Track with CSAV's Boxships

The shipbuilder announced today in its regulatory filing to the Korea Stock Exchange that CSAV’s $617.67 million worth project is on track. The newbuilds are scheduled to be delivered from the end of 2014 to May 2015.

The new vessels will enable CSAV to reduce bunker consumption costs significantly. Their incorporation will also allow the replacement of a part of vessels currently chartered by the company.

CSAV will thus expand its percentage of own fleet to bring it into line with the shipping industry average.
