Siem Offshore said in an Oslo Bors filing on Monday that the company won charter contracts for the Siem Atlas and Siem Giant vessels.

The company added each vessel was awarded a one-year contract with two six-month options. The contracts will begin in December in direct continuation of a present contract.

Although the company did not disclose the name of the charterer, it is worth noting that the vessels are currently located offshore Brazil.

According to VesselsValue (VV), Siem Atlas is located off Rio de Janeiro near the Petrobras-operated FPSO Cidade de Caraguatatuba MV27 which is working on the Lapa oil field in the Santos basin.

The Siem Giant is currently on its way to Rio de Janeiro according to VV’s data from Monday.

Both vessels are platform supply vessels of an STX PSV 4700 design. The Atlas and the Giant are 87.90 meters long, 19 meters wide, with a cargo deck area of 1,000 square meters. The Atlas is the older of the two, built in 2013, while the Giant was built in 2014.
