The OSCV Siem Spearfish will be engaged within the marine geophysical segment and support the charterer’s operations worldwide.

The contract consists of a one-year firm agreement, with an additional one-year option.

The commencement of the new charter is scheduled for mid-February, following the completion of the vessel’s current class renewal.

The 2014-built, 120-meter-long Siem Spearfish is designed for subsea operation duties such as construction and installation work, inspection and maintenance. It is classed according to SPS 2008 and Clean Design.

At the end of 2023, Siem Offshore signed a letter of intent (LOI) with Helix Energy Solutions for long-term extensions of charter contracts for two well intervention vessels. The Norwegian company noted that the extensions were at improved day rates.
