Siemens Gamesa and Formosa Plastics Ink MoU in Taiwan
Siemens Gamesa has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Formosa Plastics Corporation for offshore wind in Taiwan.
According to the company, the agreement adds up to a series of earlier agreements with local and international parties to promote a competitive supply chain.

To remind, Siemens Gamesa inked the first local supply agreements in Taiwan last year by awarding contracts for Ørsted’s Formosa 1 Phase 2 and wpd’s Yunlin offshore wind projects.
Most recently, the company received a conditional order for the supply of turbines for the 376MW Formosa 2 offshore wind project, shortly after which it received the firm order from Ørsted for the 900MW Greater Changhua 1 & 2a wind farm.
