Solstad Farstad chairman steps down. Replacement named

The chairman and board member of Norwegian offshore shipping company Solstad Farstad has stepped down from his position. The company named a replacement at its AGM.

Solstad Farstad said on Monday that Terje Vareberg stepped down as chairman and board member at the company’s annual general meeting on May 9, 2018.

Vareberg decided to leave Solstad Farstad following a seven-year stint with the company.

The company added that Harald Espedal was elected as the new chairman and board member.

Harald Espedal is a graduate from The Norwegian School of Economic with additional studies in auditing. He is the chairman of Lyse ASA, Sandnes Sparebank, Espedal & CO AS.

Espedal is also a deputy chair in the Stavanger Concert Hall and a board member in Aaspelin Ramm and The Norwegian National Opera and Ballet.

He has a long career within the finance and investment industry including positions of CEO and investor director for SKAGEN and investment director for Vesta.
