Solstad, which has in the past fortnight secured several offshore vessel contracts, has now been awarded a long-term deal with Global Offshore for the Normand Clipper CSV.

The contract will begin in the first quarter of 2020 and have a duration of 3 years firm plus 5 years options thereafter.

Global Offshore will use the vessel to support their cable lay operations within the renewable energy and oil & gas sectors, Solstad said on Wednesday.

Solstad Offshore has been on a roll recently as this contract comes a day after it had announced a deal for an AHTS in Brazil with Enauta.

Also, the company last Friday scored a significant deal with Australian Woodside for the provision of six vessels – two anchor handlers and four platform suppliers.
