S.D. Standard ETC – which changed its name in February 2022 from S.D. Standard Drilling to reflect the new investment strategy within the energy, transportation, and commodities sectors – informed on Friday that its subsidiary, Standard Supply, had entered into a new charter for the PSV Standard Supplier.

The firm explains the new deal is a 7-10 week charter, which will see the vessel supporting a European energy company from mid-August with day rates in the range of EUR €30,000 (around $30,489) per day.

The 2007-built PSV Standard Supplier, which is a sister vessel to the PSVs Standard Princess, sold for $10.3 million in December 2021, and Standard Viking, has a deck area of 1,060 m2 and runs as diesel-electric with close coupled alternators while its main engines are 4 x Caterpillar 3516b 1905Kw each and 1 x Caterpillar 2508b 910Kw.

In addition, the vessel, built at Aker Brattvaag yard, has 2 x Roll Royce tunnel bow thrusters, 1 x Brunvoll FWD retractable azimuth thruster and 2 x Rolls Royce Azipull main propulsion thrusters.

When it comes to Standard ETC’s most recent activities, it is worth noting that the company acquired an interest in the Norway-based Dolphin Drilling for $10 million through an equity issue.
