Subsea7 and OneSubsea strike long-term collaboration with Petronas in Suriname

Subsea Integration Alliance (SIA), comprising SLB OneSubsea and Subsea7, and Petronas Suriname E&P, a subsidiary of Malaysia’s state-owned oil & gas firm Petronas, have signed a strategic collaboration agreement for field development projects in Suriname.

The agreement establishes a long-term framework for collaboration across the project lifecycle. The aim is to simplify complex procurement processes, reduce total development costs and enhance delivery certainty through early engagement and integrated execution.

As part of the deal, SIA will provide pre-FEED, FEED and engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) solutions for multiple projects in Suriname described as prospective. Subsea7 will deliver the subsea umbilical, riser and flowlines (SURF) scope and SLB OneSubsea subsea production systems (SPS).

To remind, it was reported yesterday, April 7, that Petronas Suriname E&P had joined forces with U.S.-headquartered oilfield services player Halliburton and offshore drilling contractor Valaris to bolster asset development and long-term value in Suriname.
