The contract has been awarded by Eni Ghana E&P, a unit of Eni, Ghana National Petroleum Company and Vitol.

Under the contract, TechnipFMC, the company created by the merger of French LNG-engineer Technip and Houston-based FMC Technologies, will perform the project management, engineering, supply, construction and commissioning for the onshore receiving facilities located in Sanzule, which form part of the gas to power plan.

The project is scheduled for completion by mid-2018, TechnipFMC said in its statement on Tuesday.
