TechnipFMC will supply rigid pipelines, static and dynamic umbilicals, as well as pipeline and marine installation of the subsea production facilities.

The project will be executed by the company’s operating center in Oslo, Norway, with fabrication occurring at its facilities in Norway and the UK.

“We are proud to collaborate closely with Equinor once again, working together from early in the front-end and concept phase to develop optimized solutions and methodology for the installation for Kristin Sør,” said Jonathan Landes, president, Subsea at TechnipFMC.

“This project will also utilize Deep Arctic, which is equipped with hybrid battery solutions to reduce emissions.”

The Kristin Sør development consists of the fields Lavrans and Kristin Q, both satellites to the existing Kristin platform.

The project is done by operator Equinor and partners Petoro, Vår Energi, and Total.

TechnipFMC’s contract comes shortly after the project partners reached the financial investment decision (FID) for the Kristin field.
