The forefront of technology in HPHT

During Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference 2015 operators and service providers will gather to discuss the challenges, solutions and lessons learned in High Pressure, High Temperature (HPHT) assets.

This session will be moderated by Bert Campfens. After working as a Senior Drilling Engineer for Shell for more than 34 years, Campfens started consulting for the “The Well Academy” & WellSpec B.V. as Senior Engineer.

Ultra High Pressure High Temperature (UHPHT)

The key note  speaker in the session will be Ian Penman, Senior Global Technical Advisor at Halliburton. Penman has over 25 years of experience in completions globally in Operations, Business Development and Technology roles for HPHT applications. His presentation will focus on UHPHT wells. Special attention will be paid to the experiences and lessons learned during the L5a-D platform development.

The session will be completed by Grant Affleck, Manager BD at Drilling Services Europe & Caspian, Weatherford. Affleck graduated from Edinburgh University  in 1988 and has worked in the oilfield since then. He will discuss the renewed challenges to the MLWD market increase as wells get deeper and hotter.
