Tullow spuds Lupus

Tullow has kicked off drilling operation at its Lupus well in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.

The 31/10-1 (Lupus) well, located in the Production Licence 507 (PL507), is being drilled by the Borgland Dolphin semi-submersible drilling rig.

The drilling operation is taking place in about 120 metres of water roughly 36 kilometres south of Oseberg South.

Production licence 507 was awarded on 23 January 2009 (APA 2008). This is the first well to be drilled in the licence.
