U.S. offshore rig count flat at 19

The U.S. offshore rig count remained unchanged last week, according to a Friday report by Baker Hughes, a GE company. 


Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +13 to 1,059 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 13 rigs from last week to 1,059, with oil rigs up 15 to 859, gas rigs down 2 to 198, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 2.

U.S. Rig Count is up 151 rigs from last year’s count of 908, with oil rigs up 137, gas rigs up 13, and miscellaneous rigs up 1 to 2.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged at 19 rigs and down 4 rigs year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada -2 to 81 rigs

Canada Rig Count is down 2 rigs from last week to 81, with oil rigs down 3 to 35 and gas rigs up 1 to 46.

Canada Rig Count is down 12 rigs from last year’s count of 93, with oil rigs down 5 and gas rigs down 7.
