Uljanik Delivers Algoma’s 1st Self-Unloader

Algoma Innovator, a self-unloading bulk carrier, was delivered to Canada-based Algoma Shipping Corporation at 3. Maj shipyard in Rijeka, Croatia, on December 14.

The 24,900 dwt newbuilding is the first in a series of five ships Algoma ordered from Uljanik Group.

The Handysize bulker features a length of 198 meters, a width of 23 meters and a gross tonnage of 16,000 tons. It is intended for service on the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence River.

As informed by Uljanik, Algoma Innovator, launched in January this year, was constructed under surveillance of Lloyd`s Register (LR), a classification society.

The Tuvalu-flagged bulk carrier has a market value of USD 19.92 million, according to data provided by VesselsValue.
