UUV Aquabotix Concludes First Sale in Japan

UUV Aquabotix has sold its first product in the Japanese market following the appointment of an agent in Japan.

Aquabotix appointed Hydro Systems Development, Tokyo branch, as its representative in Japan in December.

Hydro Systems Development is a developer of underwater sensing systems for both the marine and in-land water sectors.

The sale, at approximately AUD 75,000 for one product unit, is not material to the company’s revenue, Aquabotix noted.

“The sale illustrates the ability of the company to compete in this highly technical and demanding geographic market. It also illustrates the effectiveness of the company’s strategy of rapid roll-out of a wide distribution network, with 10 distributors added to the distributor list in the last five months of 2017,” Aquabotix said.
