Eidesvik Offshore, a Norway-based owner of offshore support and construction ships has taken delivery of its biggest vessel to date.

The 145 meters long Offshore Construction Vessel, Viking Neptune, was named at a ceremony in Stavanger, Norway, at 2 p.m. local time on Saturday, February 28, 2015. Around 250 guests attended the ceremony in the energy capital of Norway.

The arctic-ready Viking Neptun, delivered by Kleven Verft, is the largest investment in Eidesvik Offshore’s history, and with its 145 meters the largest in the company fleet. The vessel is also the largest vessel ever delivered by Kleven Shipyard. The ship was designed by Salt Ship Design.

The vessel will in March start its six months long contract with Technip, a France-based oilfield services provider.
