VNG Compiles Fenja Impact Assessment Report

Business & Finance

VNG Norge has prepared impact assessment report for development and operation of Fenja (formerly known as Pil & Bue)

Fenja is located in production license PL586 within blocks 6406/11 and 12 in the Norwegian Sea with VNG Norge as operator with a license share of 30%. Partners are Point Resources (45%) and Faroe Petroleum Norge (25%).

VNG Norge, has selected a subsea development solution tied back to the Njord platform in the Norwegian Sea as the preferred concept for development of Fenja.

VNG Norge has already awarded front end engineering and design (FEED) contracts.

The contract for SURF (subsea, umbilicals, risers & flowlines) has been awarded to Subsea 7 and TechnipFMC, and the SPS (subsea production systems) contract has been awarded to TechnipFMC and Aker Solutions.

The studies should culminate in a design competition on which the contract for engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI/EPC) will be awarded in Q4 2017.

The partners in the licence PL586 plan to pass the final investment decision and submit the PDO for the discoveries by the end of the year. Production is expected to start in 2020.

The impact assessment for the development of Fenja can be downloaded here (Norwegian only).
