The new facility is situated at the Sealane terminal in the Emmahaven, and provides open-air and warehouse storage space.

According to WIND, the Eemshaven facility will be an extension of its cable repair yard in Velsen, where the company will mainly focus on intermediate project storage for the Northern Europe offshore wind projects.

The new facility represents WIND’s third storage facility in the Netherlands, following Amsterdam and Velsen Noord.

“The Sealane terminal in Eemshaven is ideal for various reasons, one of them being the possibility for vessels to moor directly in front of the cable storage area, allowing a quick and efficient loading and unloading of cables,” said WIND CEO Tom Nooijcomments.

“Having co-operated with Sealane Terminals BV previously on cable projects in Eemshaven, we are delighted to strengthen the relationship between the companies and looking forward for a long and successful cooperation’’.
