Wood Group Mustang elects Offshore Business Unit boss

Wood Group Mustang has promoted Kent McAllister to the position of president, Offshore Business Unit. He was previously executive vice president for the business unit.

According to Wood Group’s press release on Tuesday, McAllister has nearly 30 years of engineering experience, with more than 20 years of service in the oil & gas industry. His executive leadership includes serving as vice president of Offshore Operations at Jacobs, vice president of Global Operations and Workshare at Wood Group Mustang, and vice president of the Offshore Business Unit at Alliance Wood Group Engineering, prior to its integration into Wood Group Mustang, the company said.

In the offshore industry, his responsibilities have spanned all phases of project execution. Wood Group says McAllister’s offshore heritage is particularly strong in deepwater, having worked on projects such as the British-Borneo Morpeth and Allegheny TLPs, BP Horn Mountain spar, Enterprise Independence Hub semi-submersible, and the Noble Energy Tamar Platform Project.
