Xodus said on Thursday that Djamel Hamel and Chris Overton, with more than 60 years of experience between them, joined the company.

Hamel was appointed to the role of principal consultant, having previously worked within a senior pipeline position for six years at Spirit Energy, as well as engineering roles at Wood, Subsea 7, and Technip.

He worked across the oil and gas industry in subsea disciplines, including rigid pipeline design, and installation, risers, subsea pipeline asset integrity, and project management.

Overton also joins as a principal consultant, following seven years as senior pipeline integrity engineer at Repsol Sinopec. He previously worked at DNV GL, Lloyds Register, Oceaneering, and Wood.

The new recruits join a team of 20 engineers who provide the company’s subsea integrity services, including support with pipelines, risers, subsea structures, umbilicals, controls, and all other ancillary equipment.

Mike Allan, integrity lead at Xodus, said: “We are thrilled to be able to attract the likes of Djamel and Chris to the team which is a great reflection of the quality and challenge of our ongoing contract work scopes.”
