Zadco Expansion Project Likely Ends Early in March

MEED reported that contractors bidding for the estimated USD 500 million expansion of the Satah full field development expect to submit commercial offers in the first week of March.

A source close to the project said that there will have to be some clarifications between Zakum Development Company and us. It looks like the deadline will be in the first week of March but this is not confirmed.

The technical bids have already been submitted. The bidders are:

1. Petrofac (local)

2. National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) (local)

3. Saipem (Italy)

4. Larsen & Toubro (India)

5. McDermott Arabia Company (McDermott) (local)

6. Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI)(South Korea)

The project encompasses both offshore and onshore work. It scope includes 20 kilometers, 14 inch carbon steel subsea pipeline, gas compressors, separators and a fuel gas treatment unit.
