Qld ports expand to cater for mineral boom

The Port of Weipa in Far North Queensland will be dredged to allow larger ships to dock, the Queensland Government has announced. The Ports Corporation of Queensland will spend $27 million to widen and deepen the port’s south channel to prepare for future expansion of the port.
