Expro has seen a boost to its business in Asia after landing a major mechanical wireline contract and completing a second topside package for an international customer in Indonesia.

Expro has agreed the mechanical wireline contract with Total E&P Indonesia for work on the eastern part of the island of Kalimantan (Borneo).

The contract is to perform specialized mechanical wireline services on the customer’s offshore wells. Five wireline units are being supplied. Expro personnel will run the equipment.

Expro in Indonesia has also completed a second package to engineer, supply, install and commission a production topside system for an international customer.

The equipment consists of a 44,000 b/d, single lift process module to install on a customer’s floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel.

Expro’s Production Systems team designed, engineered and supplied the complete process module from the Expro Batam base, with detailed engineering support from its Houston office.
