Yorkshire’s Drax Power station last month loaded the cargo ship ‘Torrent’ with 1,200 tonnes of Pulverised Fuel Ash (PFA). PFA is a by-product from power stations which can be used for a number of purposes such as manufacturing concrete. More shipments of the sort are expected to take place this year.
