Offshore engineering company Sembcorp Marine achieved a 28 percent increase in net profit to S$176.1 million (US$130 million) from S$138.1 million (US$101 million) in the second quarter of 2009. The company’s turnover at S$1,097.9 million (US$811 million) was 27 percent lower compared with S$1,497.6 million (US1,105 million) for the corresponding period in 2009.
