Maersk Line announces the re-introduction of the CRX as per January 2012, the weekly liner service connecting Mexico and Costa Rica directly with UK, Netherlands and Germany.

The CRX and the Ecubex services have been merged into one service since mid 2011. However, Maersk Line is now separating the two services and confirming the CRX as a standalone service for the years to come.

Fastest service from Bremerhaven to Mexico

The service that will connect Tilbury, Rotterdam and Bremerhaven with Veracruz and Altamira in Mexico is only direct dedicated service in the trade. The service will connect Bremerhaven with Veracruz in only 13 days, providing the fastest transit time in the market. The value propositions of the service, supports the tight supply chains of the customers in the automotive, paper and chemical segments

Fresh fruit exports from Central America to Europe

The service will also provide very competitive transit times and direct port coverage for the shippers of fresh fruit from Belize, Mexico, Costa Rica and Panama into North Europe.

The fruits loaded at Puerto Moin in Costa Rica will reach Tilbury and Rotterdam in 13 and 15 days respectively.

In Manzanillo, Panama the service will connect with the extensive Maersk Line feeder coverage, ensuring competitive transit times to/from the rest of Central America and the Caribbean.

Globally, Maersk Line has consistently captured top spots for schedule reliability and this will continue be a trade mark for CRX. The service will deploy 6 x 2500 TEU vessels with the following rotation:

Bremerhaven – Veracruz – Altamira – Big Creek – Manzanillo – Puerto Moin – Cork– Tilbury – Rotterdam – Bremerhaven

The first southbound sailing is the Frisia Rotterdam from Bremerhaven on 15th December 2011 and the first northbound sailing is from Veracruz on 29th December with the same vessel.
