Horizon Group is the first luxury yacht builder in the world to apply Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods to yacht build process; NDT, which originated within the Aerospace and Military industries, comprises advanced inspection techniques that detect inner defects in a structure.

Horizon utilizes NDT to aid the company in finding and eliminating structural defects that may have occurred deep inside a vessel, allowing Horizon to guarantee the quality of its vessels and build process.

Since adopting NDT, Horizon has established the best methods for its yacht inspections: “Ultrasonic” and “Lockin Thermography” – both methods utilize high-end equipment to assist in implementing the inspection, and qualified technicians are required to be certified and notarized by a third party in order to use any equipment.

As build technology continues to advance, so will Horizon – the company was always, and will remain, dedicated to quality control and providing its clients with safe, reliable Horizon yachts.
